Our Story
Texas Custom Timber is our milling company that we’ve proudly stationed on our working farm in Bremond, Texas and rooted in tradition since 1911.
Our Legacy
Fast-forward a century to 2011. Record-breaking Texas drought scorches down, leaving hundreds of dead mature oaks and cedars everywhere.
As a therapeutic endeavor, a few years later in 2016, we decided to log these dead trees and saw them into structural beams. Pleased with the incredible beauty and quality of what was coming off the mill, we repurposed the wood and built a beautiful timber frame house positioned in the center of our family land.
With pride, our home is our legacy.
Our Passion
The final product from this 100% dead-standing timber exceeded all expectations!
Each exposed beam has so much unique character… from the porch cedar posts, to the oak gable trusses in our vaulted den, to the solid support beams that complement our kitchen with rustic beauty.
Hands-on experience throughout our logging, milling, and building process paved the way to push this passion at a much bigger scale. Investing in a new mill seemed inevitable.

There’s a lot of pride in the product itself, but the thrill multiplies when we get to share the beauty and educate others along the way.
There’s something special about a wooden beam that was a sapling 150 years ago that can be part of a standing structure for another 150 years. If that matters to new homeowners as it does to us, the connection and impact will be immediate.
