Heritage rooted in Texas
Texas Custom Timber is our milling company proudly located on our working farm in Bremond, Texas. Our family has been cultivating various crops and raising cattle here since 1911. The property features a patchwork of open fields and extensive wooded areas, which have supplied valuable timber for generations. From our humble beginnings as Polish sharecroppers, working the land in all capacities served as our family's sole source of income for more than 60 years.

Focused on Sustainability
Post oak's remarkable resistance to wood rot allows the core of this deciduous Texas treasure to provide valuable timber for years after the tree has died. Red cedar shares these same beneficial traits. Mother Nature dries both woods naturally through time and our region's hot, and occasionally arid climate.
This natural drying process begins within the log itself, which helps ensure dimensional stability and consistency in the final product. "Dead-standing timber" represents an incredibly resourceful use of carbon—what we consider the ultimate form of repurposing!
